With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Evelyn Marie Rost of Portage, Wisconsin, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Evelyn left this world on November 12, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Joseph Bogdon and Mabel Cecelia Munson Bogdon (Jamestown); her sisters, Grace Britz and Jean Fitch; her former husband Prescott Fletcher; and her sons, Preston Fletcher and Gregory Fletcher.
She is survived by: her son Jon Fletcher (Jeannie); her daughter-in-law Rose Fletcher; her granddaughters, Melinda Fletcher, Hannah (Huridis) and Fortuna; her great grandchildren, Josiah and Micah; and her sibling's children, Sharon Parsons, Donald Fitch (Becky) and Karan Lincoln (David).
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Parkholm Cemetery (2501 N La Grange Rd, La Grange Park, IL 60526).
In later years she discovered the joy of watching and learning about sandhill cranes and was able to view them on the Platte River in Nebraska, and at the International Crane Foundation in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
