“Melissa was one of the kindest people I ever met. As a Library Board Trustee for the Portage Public Library she supported the library (and me) with sincerity, trust and a deep sense of humanity. I am only sorry that my interactions with her were limited to this one common goal. Clearly she has touched the lives of many and I can only say how fortunate I feel to have spent even a short time getting to know this remarkable person. I hope she considered me a friend as I do her. Rest in peace.”
