He was predeceased by : his parents, Lee Raymond and Gladys Abbott (Dunkin); his brothers-in-law, Floyd Brown and Ambrosio Altamirano; and his siblings, Max Abbott and Donna Meyer.

He is survived by : his wife Jane M Schultz; his children, Tad Abbott (Penny) of Oxford and Trudy Meade (Mike) of Lodi; his grandchildren, Clay, Ty Dettmann, McKenna and Mitchell Abbott; and his siblings, Gladys Chance (Virgil) of Portage, Nancy Brown, Bobbie Abbott (Barbara) and Lila Altamirano. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Faith Bible Church (N4777 Elm St, Rio, WI 53960). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
