He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Barnes and Mildred Anwyl; his wife Betty Lou Bennett; his brother Robert A. Barnes; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Barnes.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Sulik (Chuck) of Portage, WI and Mona Barnes of Denver, CO; his grandchildren, Kyle Vertz (Alexandra) of Green Bay, WI and Nicholas Vertz of Billings, MT; and his great grandchild Wayne Vertz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to the Wayne Barnes Memorial, to benefit the community.
