She was predeceased by : her parents, William Hartline and Frances Hartline (Tyloch); and her former life partner Frank Giese. She is survived by : her fiancé David McPherson; and her children, David Hartline, Amy Giese, Jordan Giese and Mary Ellen Giese, Jr.. She is also survived by 10 brothers and sisters, other relatives and friends.
