He is survived by: his wife Carla Sphatt; his children, Jerry Michels (Dena), Steve Michels (Rochelle), Lisa Michels, Ann Michels and Roxanne Carpino (Louie); and his grandchildren, Ashley, Jerry, Jamie, Kali, Scott and Zachary. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
