It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Geraldine Kay Doherty of Poynette, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Williams Schaeffer and Rosella Marie Schaeffer (Laumer); her brother Patrick Martin Schaeffer; and her parents-in-law, James and Ellen Doherty.

She is survived by: her husband Gene Owen Doherty; her children, Brian Doherty (Kate), Debbie Koepp (Rory), Sean Doherty (Vicki) and Bradley James Doherty (Becky); and her siblings, Peggy O'Donnell, Rosella Kalscheuer (Jim) and Michael Schaeffer (Judy). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
