She is survived by: her children, Curtis Penland Jr. (Lynn), Michael Penland (Roxanne), Joseph Penland (Renee), Debra Morgan (Donald) and Deanna Penland; and her brothers, Edward Winneshiek (Phyllis) and Anthony Winneshiek (Connie). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
