With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Audrey Mara of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 4, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Holzer and Martha Holzer; her daughter Angela; and her sisters, Norma Jean Derr and Lorraine Schneberger.
She is survived by: her husband Arnold Mara; and her children, Jeanine of Prairie du Chien, Mary Schultz (late Andy) of McGregor, Iowa, Julie Mooney (late Terry) of Waukon, Iowa, Michael (Debbie) of Prairie du Chien, Mark (Lisa) of Prairie du Chien, Tom of Prairie du Chien, Jeff (Jill) of Prairie du Chien, Maureen Stark (Josh) of La Crosse, Wis. and Jamie (Stacy) of Little Chute, Wis.. She is also survived by her 31 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
When the facility was locked down during the coronavirus pandemic, she adjusted to window visits and video chats.
