He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnie Alva Elda Zanto (Schultz) and Edward Zanto; his former wife Marilyn Zanto (Stowell); and his son James Zanto. He is survived by: his child Richford of Don's Auto Sales; his fiancée Sharon A. Strahota; his daughter Sheri Gleason (Joseph); and his brother Roger Zanto (Debbie Klekot). He is also survived by grandchildren who adored him; other relatives and friends.
