He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Sr. Reed and Emily Reed (Schuettpelz); and his siblings, Marvin, Norma, Alfred Jr. and Barbara.

He is survived by: his wife Judith Flaig; and his siblings, Warren Reed, Sally Pirlot, Wayne Reed (Jayne), Beverly Van Ark (Ken) and Lorna Mueller (Russell). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
