He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony F. Widmar and Coltilda Widmar; his wife Catherine "Katie" Griffiths; his brothers, Randall Widmar, Deacon William Widmar (Joan) and Gerald Widmar (Donna); Charles Griffiths (Patti).
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Widmar (BJ Betty Jean), James Widmar (Karen), Shawn Luepke (Robert), Rick Widmar (Linda), Laura LaMartina (Joe), Sandy Bink (David), John Widmar (Eileen), Colleen Widmar, Michael Griffiths (JoAnn), Thomas Griffiths (Susan), Susan Weisensel (Denis), Cathy Newberry (Carl), David Griffiths (Audrey), Patrick Griffiths (Kirsten) and Sally LaFaive (Jeffrey); and the mother of his children Sharon Woodworth. He is also survived by 58 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to either the Legacy at St. Paul the Apostle or the VFW Post 1391 (820 Main Street Racine, WI 53403).
