We bid farewell to Charles Allan Schmitz (Racine, Wisconsin), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 4, 2025 at the age of 78. Charles touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roger Schmitz and Gloria Schmitz; his wife Rosalie Smith; his daughters, Amy Ikonich (Danny) of Pleasant Prairie and Mary Hoover (Randy) of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Andrew Curtis of Pleasant Prairie, Aleksandar Ikonich of Pleasant Prairie and Mia Ikonich of Pleasant Prairie; and his siblings-in-law, Chuck Smith (Irene), Juliette Whyte, Tom Smith (Gail), Greg Smith (Sue) and Joe Smith (Jean). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home & Crematory (4600 County Line Rd, Mt Pleasant, WI 53403). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (2223 N 51st St, Milwaukee, WI 53208).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at https://www.cff.org., a charity that was close to Chuck's heart.
