He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roger Schmitz and Gloria Schmitz; his wife Rosalie Smith; his daughters, Amy Ikonich (Danny) of Pleasant Prairie and Mary Hoover (Randy) of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Andrew Curtis of Pleasant Prairie, Aleksandar Ikonich of Pleasant Prairie and Mia Ikonich of Pleasant Prairie; and his siblings-in-law, Chuck Smith (Irene), Juliette Whyte, Tom Smith (Gail), Greg Smith (Sue) and Joe Smith (Jean). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends.
