She is survived by: her husband Martin Ellis; her children, Joshua, Samantha and Jeremy Ellis; her grandchild Naiemah Ellis; her sister Dorothy Ertel; and her nieces, Ruthie Cotton (Gerald) and Angelica Aslani.
