She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny W. Lawson and Thelma Lawson (Smith); her siblings, Johnny Lawson, Edward Smith, Michael Lawson, Lawrence Lawson and Doris King; and her former husband Willie Lee Thomas.
She is survived by: her daughters, Anastasia Hunter (Boston), TeSherra Lowery, Keona Thomas and Zsara Thomas; and her grandchildren, LaShawna Thomas, Tia Mccaa (Randy), Danyell Petty Jr., Bryanna Thomas, Kavellis Hadley, Johnnay Ward, Arryanna Thomas, Tazarious Riddle, Tazhaya Riddle, Gregory Jackson Jr., Arbreshon McGruder, Kynnedi-Leigh Harris, A'Reyah Joy and Dillard. She is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
