We announce the death of Donald Melvin Scheller of Racine, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 98. Donald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Scheller and Gladys Scheller (Jane); his wife Jane Luedtke; his sons, Richard Scheller and Tom Scheller; his son-in-law Michael Carpino; his stepdaughter Renee Toth (Tom); his grandson Nicholas Scheller; his sisters, Delores MacIntosh and Jane Gutkowski; and his stepfather Gaylord Crossett.
He is survived by: his daughters, Christine Carpino of Racine and Mary Jo Schaub (Gary) of The Villages, FL; his stepchildren, Michelle Humphries and Dale Luedtke of Houston, TX; his daughter-in-law Kerri Scheller; his grandchildren, Carrie Tubbs (Brad), Kate Brunnelson (Bobby), Sarah Rushford (Don), Mike Scheller (Sarah), Cassie Hibbard (Kyle), Richard Scheller, Jim Hupp (Stephanie), Jeff Hupp (Sarah Zeilinski), Tina Bronson (Jim), Rikki McDaniel (Kyle) and Riley Toth (Hope); and his siblings, Roy Scheller, Jean Noah (John), Lucille Windberg and Marilyn Pelky (Ken). He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (6400 Spring St, Mt Pleasant, WI 53406). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
