He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora Balden and William Simpson; his son Barry Simpson; his granddaughter Brittany Simpson; his stepmother Georgia Simpson; and his brothers, Quadeem Shakoor (Dhameera), Willie Simpson Jr., Floyd Simpson and Johnny Simpson.
He is survived by: his wife Ginnett Simpson; his children, Beverly Simpson, Gregory Simpson, Casseme Simpson, Paul Simpson, Cedric Simpson (Velda), Trent Simpson (Melba), Monique Moore and Swavette Byerson; his daughter-in-law Mellicent Simpson; his siblings, Oscar Simpson, Ocelia Simpson (Joy), Rodney Simpson (Flora), Betty Jean Mullin, Dorothy Ruth, Vanessa Basemore and Brenda Morris (Willis); and his in-laws, Dorothy Simpson, Mary Simpson, Ethel Simpson, Bertha Robertson (Charles), James Moore, Danny Moore (Domelthel) and Brenda Horton (Raymond). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the CDT Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home (803 Main St, Racine, WI 53403). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
