With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ellen Hyndman Schmidt (Racine, Wisconsin), born in Washington, District of Columbia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2025 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Hyndman Jr. and Virginia Vasey Hyndman; and her brother Stephen Hyndman. She is survived by: her husband John Schmidt; her children, Stephen Schmidt (Alexandra), Liesl Nelson (Aaron) and Melissa Peterson; her grandchildren, Gideon (Mackenzie), Josiah, Rachel Schmidt, James and Anna Nelson; her brother Harry Hyndman (Kathleen); and her sister-in-law Cynda Hyndman.
