With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Van Aken Smith (Racine, Wisconsin), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 28, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Gerald E. Smith (Lela Mae Smith); his sister Carol Dowling; and his brother-in-law Lyle Langer. He is survived by: his son Cameron (Jen); his grandchildren, Annelie, Emmeline and Atticus; his daughter Willa (William Ritt); his grandsons, Curtis, Frederick and Elliot; his son Emery (Courtney Leisen); his siblings, Karen Langer (Wis) of Hillsboro, Robert Smith (Colo) of Fort Collins and David Smith of Verona, Wis.; and also, Russ Harbach, Tony Braun and Nick Conigliaro.
