She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl and Astrid; her grandson Daniel VanderLeest; her great grandchild Lily Gabbey; and her brothers-in-law, Robert VanderLeest, David VanderLeest and Robert Legler.
She is survived by: her husband Donald E. VanderLeest; her children, Michael VanderLeest (Debra), Ruth Hoffmann (John) and Carol Kenyon; her grandchildren, Jeffrey VanderLeest (Diana), Randahl Hoffmann (Jennifer), Nicholas Hoffmann (Krisa), Kyle Hoffmann (Chrisopher D'Onofrio) and Cathy Gabbey (Kevin); her great grandchildren, Christopher VanderLeest, Aolani Lamelas (Jason) of Camille VanderLeest, R. J, Benisch, Natalie Benisch, Brynn Hoffmann, Weston Hoffmann, Ty Hoffmann, Taylor Hoffmann, Trevor Martin, Julieanna LaBrasca, Morgan Gabbey and Collin Gabbey; her brother Peder Pedersen (Judy); her sisters-in-law, Alice Legler and Geri VanderLeest; her nieces, Jill Pedersen and Lynn Schroeder; and her son-in-law Matthew Huck. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives.
Memorials to Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Compassus, Ridgewood Rehabilitation Center have been suggested.
