Mewaldt of Racine, Wisconsin, born in Sparta, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David and Harriette. He is survived by: his children, Becca Williams (Jedd), Greg Mewaldt and Rachel Mewaldt; his grandchildren, Brandon, T. J. and Emily Williams; and his brothers, Richard Mewaldt (Sandra), Steven Mewaldt (Cheryl Connelly) and James Mewaldt (Ruth). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The pandemic, and his distaste for technology and working remotely, made it clear that it was time to retire from his beloved career.
John was an avid supporter and volunteer of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Wisconsin chapter, where he was known as the 'Cowbell Guy' at their annual Extreme Hike event.
