She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ernestor Muniz and Crecencia; her husband Epifanio Munoz; her children, Ignacia Mora (Luis), Eduardo Munoz, Maria Magdalena De La (Oscar), Epifanio Munoz, Jr. (Consuela), Francisco Munoz (Josefina), Maricela Mora (Jose) and Juan Munoz (Blanca); and her siblings, Rogelio Oviedo (Elena) and Maria (Victor). She was also cherished by twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in Juana's name and memory to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org.
