He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold and Amanda; his wife June Timm; his brothers, Robert Akerlund (Arlene) and Donald Akerlund (June); and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Hylton and Nancy Awve (Earl).
He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Martinez (Benito) of Milwaukee, Linda Liegel (Les) of Middleton, Sue Weiher (Neil) of Milwaukee and Karen Wilbershide (Jeff Krueger) of Racine; his grandchildren, Kenneth Larsen (Ellaina Gorske), Mariann Larsen, Michael Holt (Kelsey), Sarah Bartos (Bryan), Hanna Griffis (Colton), Becca Zellner (Alex), Kyle and Carly Liegel; and his great grandchildren, Justin Larsen, Nolen Zellner, James and Connor Griffis.
