He was predeceased by: his wife Cindy Nelson; and his parents, E. Gordon Nelson and Dorothy Jean Nelson (Melander). He is survived by: his siblings, Steven Nelson, Craig Nelson, Deb Nelson (Billings), Brian Thomas and Janice Nelson (Mikulecky); his nieces and nephews, Ben Nelson, Joel Nelson, Kevin Nelson, Kelli Kaminski (Nelson) and Heather Niles (Nelson); and his pet Billie Jean.
