She was predeceased by: her husband Patrick Brown. She is survived by: her daughters, Dr. Kellie Brown (Michael Kroll) and Karrie Merriweather (E. J.); her grandchildren, John and Morgan Merriweather; and her sister Josephine "Cookie" Smith (Larry). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
