She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ruth and Anna Ruth; her husbands, William Benecke and Glenn Ernst; her son James Benecke; and her sister Carol Fuller.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Benecke (Lisa) and Beverly Elling (Mark); her grandchildren, Charlotte Fernandez (Charlie), Jordan Delgado, Justice, Farrar, Hope Dehmel (Steve), Ben Elling, Brittany, Brianna and Brooke Haynes-Benecke; her great grandchildren, Liam and Savannah; and her friend Judy Matus. She is also survived by other relatives and many dear friends.
Memorials to St. John's Lutheran Choir for the purchase of new music, have been suggested by the family.
