He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Burbey and Carol Ball; his grandson Nicholas J. Heiligenthal; his sister Paula Browder; his son-in-law Charles Swift; his stepfather Eugene Ball; and his former spouse Julieanne G. Burbey.
He is survived by: his children, Christian Burbey (Dawn) and Julieanne Swift; his grandchildren, Jessica Benning, Zackery, Joshua Swift, Caden, Brinnley Burbey and Nathan Heiligenthal; his great grandchildren, Logan, Liliana Hammer, Colton and Carter Heiligenthal; his brother-in-law Bill Browder; and his cousin Everett Anderson.
