He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Simonds and Lydia Simonds (Sladky); his son Dr. James Simonds MD (Lisa); and his siblings, Helen Stefferud (Chester), Henry Simonds, Anna Thurke, Lydia Oszuscik (Paul), Mary Lemke (William), Ambrose Simonds (Lois), Frances Wallace (Russell) and Cecilia Rosenbaum (Frederick).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his daughters, Katherine Moody (Jeffrey) and Marie Simonds; his grandchildren, Christopher Simonds (Kate), Michael Simonds (Amber), Paul Rodriguez and Laurie Potratz (Matthew); and his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Oliver Simonds, Isabelle, Genevieve, Emmett Potratz, Ad'ian Stepney, Nova and Josiah Rodriguez.
