He was predeceased by: his parents, Rennie and Anna; his wife Emily J. Mullenberg; and his sister Geraldine. He is survived by: his children, Richard L. Day II and Heidi J. Simmons (Cornelius); his grandchildren, Nolan Day, CJ Simmons and Fancianna Simmons; and his siblings-in-law, Daniel Mullenberg (Theresa), Shelly Pinter (Jim) and Sherry Simanek (Gordy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
