He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Schmidt and Anna Schmidt (Clauer); his wife Linda Schmidt (Martin); and his brother Neil Schmidt. He is survived by: his nephew Dean Schmidt (Julie); and his nieces, Kimi Hartley (Paul), Lori McKinney (Dave Laskowski) and Corinne Cecchini (Ronald). He is also survived by 7 great-nieces and nephews, and 10 great-great-nieces and nephews.
