He is survived by: his children, Brian Winterle (Sarah) and Tina Winterle Alpert (Jed); his grandchildren, Lars Jacob, Soren Juhl Winterle, Nolan Ace, Caleb Henning and Lilah Eve Alpert; his siblings, Donald, Wally and Marge Merrill; his sisters-in-law, Carol Winterle and Inger Penner; and his in-laws, Ove, Henning Larsen, Marlene, Clariss, Anne, Cathy, Betty Jo Winterle, Marshall Merrill (Jerry) and Charles Penner.
