He was predeceased by: his parents, James Navis and Grace Navis (Friesma); and his brother John Navis. He is survived by: his siblings, James Navis (Connie), Keith Navis (Kim) and Karen Diemer (Ed); and his sister-in-law Ruth Navis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorials to the Humane Society have been suggested by the family.
