With sadness, we share the passing of Ruth Elizabeth Swaagman (Racine, Wisconsin). Ruth, born on September 7, 1942 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, passed away on September 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Veldboom and Elizabeth Veldboom; and her brothers, Wes and Norm. She is survived by: her husband Alfred Swaagman (Dick) of Randolph, WI; her children, Rhonda, Bruce Block, Andy, Kelli Swaagman, Sarah and Steven Van Timmeren; her grandchildren, Zac, Lindsay Brown, Elijah, Mae, Destinee Brown, Ashley, Katie (Kyrus Tsai), Nick, Emma Swaagman, Kayley and Briana Van Timmeren; her great grandchildren, Leo, Zeke, Zoey Brown and Xavier Brown Rosales-Rivas; and her siblings-in-law, Jim and Edna Fisher.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Racine Christian Reformed Church (900 Illinois St, Racine, WI 53405). A committal service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the West Lawn Memorial Park (9000 Washington Ave, Racine, WI 53406).
