She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Ochs and Lucille Ochs; her husbands, Robert Hardy and John Wiemer; her stepson Robert "Chunky" Wiemer; and her brothers, Bob Ochs (Margaret) and Jim Ochs.

She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Kilpin (Michael), Robert Hardy (Mel), Paul Hardy (Beth), Mark Hardy and Gregg Hardy (Rosa); her stepchildren, Julie Gebauer (Glenn), Nick Wiemer and John Wiemer (Julie); her stepdaughter-in-law Denise Wiemer; her grandchildren, Matthew Hardy, Kelly Rissky (Brian), Casey Kilpin, Adam Hardy (Amanda), Andrew Hardy (Rachael) and Thomas Hardy (Brianna); and her stepgrandchildren, Craig Wiemer (Megan), Marcus Gebauer (Jessica), Jenna Worth (Eric), Ross Wiemer (Jenni), Johnathon Wiemer (Brittany), Lauren Wiemer (Jesse), Nick Wiemer (Katie), Ali Wiemer, Tyler Wiemer and Austin Wiemer. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Ruth's name can be given to the Alzheimer's Association or to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Burlington.

“We are so sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. My mother and father, Bill and Rose Klaehn, played cards with the Hardy's and the Wiemer's. When both Bob and Red passed away, it seemed so natural for Ruth and John to find each other. She lived a long life...long after her husbands and also many of her friends. But she will always be remembered as the bright, happy and beautiful woman we all remember from earlier years. God bless you all that wonderful big mixed family!”
