She is survived by: her father Paul Peterson Sr.; her brother-in-law Kurt Saffert; her nephew Jacob Krolski; her husband Brad Nelson; her daughter Avery Nelson; her stepson Noah Nelson; her siblings, Susan Krolski, Gwen Saffert, Jay Peterson and Paul Peterson; and her siblings' children, Amanda Dooley, Taylor Krolski, Carmen Dooley, Joshua "Bubba" Saffert, Jeremy Saffert, Brandon Saffert and Joshua Dooley.
