Stephen Freres Obituary

The memory of Stephen Freres (Racine, Wisconsin), who passed away on May 7, 2026 at the age of 68, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Freres and Eileen Freres (Nee Young); his brother James Freres; and his parents-in-law, Agnes and Stanley Czudec.

He is survived by: his pets, Calvin, Hobbes and Stephen King; his wife Susan Czudec; his sons, Matthew Freres (Val) and Jason Freres (Anneliese); his grandson Landon; his siblings, Patricia Stinger (Charles), Peggy Granger (Chuck), John Freres (Julie), Jean Schoenwaelder (John), Janet Ramig (Steven) and Nicholas Freres (Barbara); and his brothers-in-law, Richard Czudec (Jennifer), Michael Czudec and Jeffrey Czudec. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be collected for Living Tribute to have trees planted in national forests in his memory.
