He was predeceased by: his parents, John Berger and Lucy Berger; and his brothers, Charles, Lenard, Vincent and Bernard.
He is survived by: his wife Ella Jensen; his children, Joseph Berger (Gloria) and Diane Dubinski (William); his grandchildren, Michelle Gnacinski (Steve), Matthew Dubinski (Ann), Kevin Dubinski (Annah) and Zachary Dubinski; his great grandchildren, Hunter, William and Jerome; and his sisters, Ginny Rheberg (Jerry) of Eau Claire, WI, Cecelia, Helen (Endel), Emma (Dekan) and Adella (Watts). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Danish Brotherhood or local VFW.
