She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard A. Metzger and Anna Metzger (Flasch); her husband John L. Nowak; and her son-in-law Lloyd Buchanan. She is survived by: her children, Rita Nowak of Beaver Dam, Michele Nowak of Calgary, Daniel Nowak of Beaver Dam, Noreen Rhoades (Tim) of Seattle, WA and William Nowak of Beaver Dam; her grandchildren, Amelia Buchanan (Fabien Ancelin) of Ottawa and Victor Buchanan of British Columbia, Canada; and her great grandchild Leo Ancelin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM. A rosary was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home (N7199 N Crystal Lake Rd, Beaver Dam, WI 53916). A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church-Beaver Dam (511 S Spring St, Beaver Dam, WI 53916). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at the Cemetery St. Michael Cemetery-Beaver Dam (W9197 Co Rd G, Beaver Dam, WI 53916).
