He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Marquardt and Beatrice Marquardt (Aldrich); his brother Phillip; and his parents-in-law, Sam, Evelyn Leystra and Stacie.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Leystra; his sons, Robert (Kari) and Richard (Valerie); his grandchildren, Kassia, Brendan, Kelsey, Rex and Reid; his pets, Madison and Scout; his siblings, Barbara Vogl (Tom) and Tom (Darlene); and his siblings-in-law, Jackie Marquardt, Kathleen Wingers (Daniel), Janice Clooten (Rodney), James Leystra (Janine), Mary Jones (Douglas) and John Leystra (Gloria). He is also survived by his nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home (323 Mary St, Cambria, WI 53923). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Cambria Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Badger Honor Flight or the Dodge County Humane Society.
