James Harvey Schmitz Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on February 27, 2026, at the age of 81, James Harvey Schmitz of Random Lake, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Schmitz and Marie Schmitz (Wegman). He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Marcy Heuer (Dave), Mark Schmitz (Kate) and Amy Smith (Wendell); his stepchildren, Kris Bemis (Peter), Jane Rumack (Ron), Chuck Mueller (Barb) and Kelly Merten (Dave); his grandchildren, Sophia, Jack, Zach, Tony, Lizzy, Connor, Cole, Brady, Sam, Reid, Krista, Carli and Nick; and his brothers, Bob Schmitz (Pat) and Tom Schmitz. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. John's Sherman Center School or Sheboygan Area Lutheran High School.
