He was predeceased by : his parents, Ervin Saueressig and Mildred Saueressig (Held); and his former life partner Jane. He is survived by : his wife Maxine; his children, Renee Castillo (Isidro), Jeff Saueressig (Ruth), Paul Saueressig (Gina) and Katheen Rolfes (Joe); his siblings, Carol (Raetz), Dennis and Bruce Jackson; and his sisters-in-law, Pam, Pat Jackson and Mary Ann Pollpeter (Todd). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Russell's name to Grace Bible Church in Adell, WI.
