He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Bichler and Susan Bichler (Mayer); and his siblings, Coletta Schmitt (Clarence), Cletus Bichler (Georgia), Vernon Bichler, Sr. (Mildred), Phillip Neri, Clemens Bichler (Geraldine), Rita Mondloch (Elden), Greg Bichler (Terry), Claude Bichler, Mary Schmitz, Dorothy Bichler and Francis Bichler.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie (Schoeder); his daughters, Tory Gonwa (Mark), Terri Paulus (Paul) and Toni Bender (Boyd); his grandchildren, Nicole Paulus (Mitch Luedtke), Adam Gonwa (Megan), Kristen Madden (Tyler), Scott Paulus, Megan Gonwa, Halle, Thea and Drew Bender; his brothers, Robert Bichler (late Mary Jo) and Nicholas Bichler (Mary Ann); his sisters-in-law, Patricia Slezewski (Tom), Barbara Bichler, Marcia Fenner and Susan Keippel; his parents-in-law, Edward D Schoeder and Evelyn Berth (Merlin); and his brother-in-law Edward G Schoeder.
