With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger J Hoida of Reedsville, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 27, 2025 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Hoida and Frieda A. Hoida (Schacht); his siblings, Gene Hoida and Phyllis Barner; his parents-in-law, William and Linda Engelland; his siblings-in-law, Ron Hasche, Howard Barner, Suzie Monka, Jim Engelland (Bev), Allan Engelland (MaryLou), Paul Engelland (Ann) and Nancy Ruoho; and his nieces and nephews, Kim Elsen, Brian Barner, Jeffrey Engelland, Mary Engelland and Robert Ruoho.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Hoida of John's Evangelical Lutheran Church; his children, David Hoida of Appleton, Dean Hoida of Schofield, Cathy Staudt (Bill) of Manitowoc, Cindy Meihsner (Rod) of Manitowoc, Karen Novak (Keith) of Manitowoc and Cristy Stedl (Chris) of Brillion; his grandchildren, Katie Ress (Dave) and Lindy Jachimek (Brian); his children, Kyle Staudt (Kristin), Brock Staudt (Maddie), Drew Staudt, Hunter, Jack, Paige, Grace Novak, Aidan and Brylee Stedl; his stepgranddaughter Veronica Young; his great grandchildren, Caroline, Hannah, Charlotte Ress, Brady and Lucy Jachimek; his stepgreat-granddaughter Izabella Young; his sister Mary Hasche of Manitowoc; and his brother-in-law Robert Ruoho of Two Rivers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 3:15 PM at the St. John - St. James Lutheran Church (219 Manitowoc St, Reedsville, WI 54230). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the St. John - St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church (219 Manitowoc St, Reedsville, WI 54230).
