She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Ames and Olive Ames (Clure); and her siblings, Donna Smith, Dale and Glenn Ames.

She is survived by: her husband Thomas McDonald; her children, Laura Weber (William), Lance McDonald (Mercedes) and Cory McDonald (Mary); and her siblings, Lourena Kress, Darla Zuiker, Arvid and Dean Ames. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
