With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Brian John Hegge of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Brian John left this world on July 6, 2025 at the age of 66, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hegge and Kathryn Hegge; and his brother-in-law Alan Passow (Kären). He is survived by: his siblings, Kären (Alan Passow), Gretchen (Robert Dean), Marilyn (Mike Kounnas) and Steven (Trudy Smith); and his siblings' children, Megan Swartout (Passow), Krista Lease (Passow), Kahla Verhoef (Dean), Alexander Dean, Nicholas Hegge, Matthew Hegge and Connor Kounnas.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pines Event Center (5840 Forest Ln, Rhinelander, WI 54501). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
Memorials can be directed to the Northwoods Nordic Ski Club, National Park Foundation, Environmental Defense Fund, or the Rhinelander Silent Trails Association.
