We are sad to announce that on July 31, 2025, at the age of 60, Dewaine Mattek Jr. in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, born in Sugar Camp, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Dewaine may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dewaine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his parents, DeWaine Mattek Sr. and Darlene Mattek (Smith); his brother Michael Mattek; and his niece Samantha Frankovis (Cody). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, bandmates, and friends.
