She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale Sr. Benson and Hazel Benson (Arends); her husband Ronald E. Mathews; and her brothers, Dale Jr., Max, Rex, Reggie and Duane.
She is survived by: her sons, Monte (April) of Kirksville, MO and Marty (Kelly) of Rhinelander; her grandchildren, Melinda, Denise, Marty Jr., Katie, Mark, Seth, Brett, Kent, Sean, Neil, Kirk and Lauren; and her sister Val Jean Thorsen of Grand Meadow. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren.
