He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Berndt and Bertha Berndt (Nimz); his wife Lu Berndt of Ogdensburg, WI; and his brothers, Chuck and Ronald Berndt.
He is survived by: his children, Luan Dudley of Rhinelander, Julie Berndt of Rhinelander, Marti Franti (Tom) of Lincoln, NE and Terry Berndt (Dawn) of Rhinelander; and his brother Donald of Woodruff. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
