It is with sadness that the passing of Marilynn Meirhofer of Rhinelander, Wisconsin is shared. Marilynn, born on December 30, 1950, passed away on August 17, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Marilynn will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Marilynn by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Marilynn is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Marilynn’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Allan O'Malley and Eugene Meirhofer. She is survived by: her children, Michelle Oftel (Jason) of Minneapolis, MN, Paul of Rhinelander and John O'Malley of Rhinelander; and her siblings, Terry Gallenberger (Ted) of Milwaukee, Joe Shefchik of Atlanta, GA and Jerry Shefchik of Rhinelander. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church (103 E King St, Rhinelander, WI 54501). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
