Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Rita May Staus of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, who passed away at the age of 87, on November 14, 2022. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna Tuskey and Gustave Tuskey; her husband Ralph Staus; her daughter Carrie Zimmer; her sister Lola LeClaire; and her granddaughter Katie Osterwind.
She is survived by: her children, Anne Osterwind (David) of Glendale, WI and Ty Staus (Tanya) of Wausau, WI; her son-in-law Tom Zimmer of Eau Claire, WI; her grandchildren, Joelle Gould (Chase), Zach, Kia Osterwind, Danica, Colin Staus, Hannah Sonsalla (Deion) and Ian Zimmer; her great grandchild Leon Gould; and her sister Sandra Gasser of Rhinelander. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes, the family requests that memorial donations be directed to Wild Instincts (wildlife rehabilitation center) in Rhinelander (Donations can be sent to Wild Instincts, 4621 Apperson Dr, Rhinelander, WI 54501).
